Adam Hungerford is from Elmira, NY. 14901, where he lives with his wife, Tracey and four children. They all love the outdoors and everything on God’s creation. Their two oldest sons are Eagle Scouts. Adam and Tracy were foster parents for almost 20 years. Through the many years of placements, adoptions, near adoptions, and losses they have learned that every child is a creation of our One True God, that He has a plan for each one of them, and that we needed to rely on His grace and wisdom as we worked to provide a home, a place, and supportive environment during the child’s traumatic time.
Adam is involved in his church as a youth ministry leader working with teens, and has over 30 years in Scouting in roles as a Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, Chartering Org Rep, District Training Committee member, NYLT Course Director and Coordinator.
He now serves in Trail Life USA to develop and support two Northeast areas. One in his home state of New York, Northeast Area 2 (NE2) Southern Tier (NY5) and also in parts of Pennsylvania, in Northeast Area 3 (NE3) Northern Tier (PA4). Point Men Jim Evans, Bill McCall, and Joe Hudson also serve other local area teams in NY and PA.
